JJob Summary:

The HVAC Technician is responsible for all preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on all refrigeration at the Lodge, Casa Palmero, and the Beach & Tennis Club.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Maintain shop and engineering equipment in a clean, neat, and orderly way.
• Perform repairs on walk in refrigerators and freezers, reach in coolers, ice machines, blast chillers, cold prep tables etc.
• Weld, solder, and braze to make necessary repairs.
• Calibrate sensors, adjust set points, and troubleshoot units.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all refrigeration equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Repair and replace damaged compressors and condensers.
• Ability to prioritize work calls by importance and handle multiple tasks simultaneously through completion.
• Ability to maintain backstock of necessary spare parts and order when needed.
• Must be able to work with a minimum amount of supervision.
• Ability to interact with guest in a professional manner that is consistent with Pebble Beach Company standards.
• Implement emergency actions as described in “Emergency Procedures Plan” and according to established department procedures.
• Comply with all Pebble Beach Company safety and health policies and procedures.

???????Absolutely Required Skills:

• Ability to work in a neat and orderly way, always maintaining professional appearance.
• Able to perform physical active work, including heavy lifting.
• HVAC-R Certificate.
• EPA Universal Certificate.
• Mechanical skills and engineering maintenance experience required.
• Knowledge of Lockout procedures important.
• Ability to perform repair, modification and preventative maintenance tasks on facilities, equipment fixtures and systems. Installs, trouble-shoots, repairs and maintains a wide variety of kitchen plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems.
• 5 years’ experience in Engineering or related fields, especially at a hotel or building complex.
• Valid California driver's license with less than 2 points.
