Job Summary:

The LED Wall & Video Engineer provides effective and well-functioning video production services including projection, switching, content and LED walls to resort guests, by installing, operating and removing video equipment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assigned as Production Video Engineer on the highest profile and complex events throughout the year, to run live video and any/all content, both in the meeting space, and virtual, as well as send feeds for recording purposes.
  • Receive, arrange and edit guest’s content from multiple sources and platforms.
  • Read and understand video production requests from producers and meeting planners. Create appropriate equipment pick lists to provide proper services for these riders. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to planners/producer’s representative for pre-planning of event and offer substitutions where appropriate.
  • Plan, stage, install, test and operate video gear for meetings and special events, from small to large functions. Properly execute video inputs/outputs/switching during live events.
  • Receive, organize, edit, store and display client’s content for productions.
  • Troubleshoot issues during installation and operation.
  • Stay current with video industry trends, recommend equipment for ongoing success.
  • When assigned, install, remove all categories of audio/visual equipment to include audio, lighting, office equipment including internet connectivity.
  • Maintain equipment through proper storage and routine cleaning.
  • Ensure that all equipment and all support supplies are properly stored after each event.
  • Assist with monthly inventory when assigned.
  • Keep department vehicles clean and orderly.
  • Comply with all Pebble Beach Company safety and health policies and procedures.

Absolutely Required Skills:

  • Minimum 1 year of live production video experience.
  • Expert knowledge of advanced switching systems, to include Roland and Analog Way production switchers, Zoom and Teams hosting/management, operation during live events.
  • Ability to update firmware of laptops, desktops, and any hardware that require updates for video software.
  • LED wall/processors and associated controllers (ie Brompton, Novastar) installation for productions, troubleshooting and operation, including resolution, aspect ratio, pixel calculations, Barco E2 switcher programming and operation.
  • Ability to interface with C-Suite level executives to plan, test, rehearse and execute productions with 100% success.
  • Troubleshooting ability to identify and correct issues in a high pressure situation.
  • Suggest and maintain backup systems for all productions.
  • Valid California driver’s license, with no more than 2 points. Ability to drive large vans and box trucks, operate lift gates.
  • Teamwork and excellent customer service in a high paced, strenuous environment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills required.
  • Must be able to lift and move objects safely as outlined below.

Desired Skills:

  • Microsoft Office Suite skills, familiar with Mac and PC based laptops and desktops.
  • Some experience with another equipment discipline, such as stage lighting skills, audio engineering, IT experience.
  • Minimum 1 year audio visual production experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for long periods of time and move frequently from area to area. Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, and reach with hands and arms. Regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
