Job Summary:

The Esthetician is responsible for delivering professional, meticulous, relaxing, exemplary facials, waxing, and makeup services.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform Forbes Five Star Standards of practice when interacting with guests.
• Conduct 50-80-minute facials, complete with extractions, massage and appropriate product application.
• Perform full body waxing. (no Brazilian waxing allowed).
• Conduct all treatments according to treatment guidelines.
• Assess and accommodate guest’s needs: inquiring about physical wellbeing and perform appropriate service.
• Use of decorum and discretions when and if it would be inappropriate for the guest to have a specific service (i.e. guest on Retina A, Accutane, or skin lesions) and redirect them to a more appropriate service.
• Proficient in skin care sales, skin care ingredients, understanding of the physiology of the skin and educating guests about their skin.
• Maintain availability and dedication to The Spa at Pebble Beach making the Spa, growing clientele a priority. Must be available to work weekends, holidays and evenings .Spa is open 365 days a year.
• Perform at least two guest contact employee services per month as occupancy allows.
• Participate in and contribute to staff meetings, training, product knowledge classes and team effort.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe working environment.
• Fill in for other estheticians as needed. Other duties as assigned by manager.
• Abide by all California State Board of Cosmetology guidelines.
• Comply with all Pebble Beach Company safety and health policies and procedures. Sanitation, draping guidelines strictly followed at all times.

Absolutely Required Skills:

• Must be service oriented, accurate, gentle and work with attention to detail, striving to exceed the expectations of every guest every time.
• Three years’ experience required. Must have worked consistently during that time. Spa experience preferred. Knowledge of medical esthetics is a plus.
• Valid California State Cosmetology and/or Esthetics License. CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
