Job Summary

The Hair Stylist delivers professional, meticulous, relaxing and exemplary hair stylist services to spa guests. Conduct current popular hair services such as shampoo, cut, color, styling, up-dos, and blow dry styling. Fill in for other hair stylists as needed. Participate in and contribute to staff meetings, training, product knowledge classes and team efforts. Must be available to work a varied schedule.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Greet guests with proper salutation and a smile.
• Conduct current popular hair services such as shampoo, cut, color, styling, up-dos, and blow dry styling.
• Assess and accommodate guest’s needs: inquiring about their physical well being and perform appropriate service.
• Desire and ability to educate and sell products to guests and staff.
• Maintain availability and dedication to The Spa at Pebble Beach, being available to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• Perform at least two guest contact employee services per month as occupancy allows.
• Participate in and contribute to staff meetings, training, product knowledge classes and team efforts.
• Work with entire spa team to achieve and maintain harmony, productivity and a positive environment.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe working environment.
• Abide by all California State Board of Cosmetology guidelines.
• Comply with all Pebble Beach Company safety and health policies and procedures.

Absolutely Required Skills

• Excellent customer service skills.
• 2+ years professional hair stylist experience in a spa or salon.
• Valid California State Cosmetology License required.

Desired Skills

• Some customer service and/or hotel experience preferred
