Job Summary:

The Tennis Front Desk Clerk performs a variety of tasks including reception, sales, and maintenance to ensure that the facility meets the expectations of guests and members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Satisfying guests’ needs and exceeding guests’ expectations are your immediate priority.
• Must have a positive attitude at all times and display integrity in daily interactions.
• Answer the phones within 3 rings and provide information on the facilities and services.
• Schedule lessons for tennis pros; making reservations for court times and ball machine.
• Handling guest complaints using LEAP.
• Greeting guests by name using 15-10-5 rule.
• Sharing and disseminating pertinent guest information to appropriate Departments or Managers.
• Monitor levels of inventory and stock, making recommendations for change to the manager/buyer.
• Post charges for court fees, tennis lessons, demo racquets and food & beverage.
• Straighten, fold, and replenish stock, maintaining an orderly and attractive presentation of merchandise.
• Assist customers with purchases and complete sales transactions.
• Check-in and price merchandise as directed by manager/buyer.
• Assist with maintaining all areas of the Tennis facility.
• Assist with setup, teardown and clean-up of member happy hour food.
• Assist with stocking of guest amenities (bathrooms, towels, cleaning).
• Restocking towels in lock rooms, taking dirty towels to BC and bringing clean towels using EZ-GO cart.
• Keeping high personal grooming standards and maintaining a neat uniform.
• Wearing nametag at all times.
• Keeping work area clean and organized.
• Comply with Pebble Beach Company safety policies and procedures.
• Arrange Tennis Matches for Hotel Guests.

Absolutely Required Skills:

• 1-2 years’ experience in a customer service business.
• CPR certification.
• Professional telephone etiquette and organizational skills.
• Microsoft office and computer skills.

Desired Skills:

• Front Desk and club experience preferred.
