Lead Maintenance Technician (Full Time)

Job Summary:

The Lead Maintenance Technician assists in all Engineering Operations of Pebble Beach Company buildings and facilities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Expert in plumbing and electrical.
  • Monitoring daily logs and ensuring all jobs are completed on time.
  • Monitor and perform repairs on pool, filtration systems, and balance ph and chlorine levels on electronic controllers and VFD.
  • Familiar with PM program HOTSOS.
  • Conducting morning meeting and allocate jobs to engineers.
  • Ensuring spare parts are monitored and stocks are maintained per par.
  • Ensuring guest requests are followed up and updated.
  • Perform major and oversee all repairs on all mechanical systems.
  • Develop relations with internal and external customers on improvement plans.
  • Assist in the installation and initial start of engineering equipment.
  • Assign, train, and develop work of the engineering department.
  • Install test and trouble shoot electrical components, controls and systems.
  • Maintain all “Life Safety” equipment, including fire sprinkler system and lock out tag out.
  • May required to work weekends and or holidays and be available in the event of an emergency.
  • Repair existing heating and cooling HVAC systems.
  • Ability to calibrate sensors, adjust set points, and troubleshoot units.
  • Perform boiler preventative maintenance and repairs on hot water units.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
  • Act as emergency contact person.
  • Ensure that’s pools and spa are following area health codes.
  • Must be able to work with a minimum amount of supervision.
  • Ability to assist engineers at lower level on projects assigned.
  • Ability to interact with guest in a professional manner that is consistent with Pebble Beach Company standards
  • Implement emergency actions as described in “Emergency Procedures Plan” and according to established department procedures.
  • Comply with all Pebble Beach Company safety and health policies and procedures.

Absolutely Required Skills:

  • Supervisory experience required.
  • Must be effective at listening and understanding clarifying and resolving the concerns and issues raised by team members and our guests.
  • Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
  • Mechanical skills and engineering maintenance experience required.
  • Must work well in stressful high-pressure situations.
  • May require moderate to proficient skills using Excel Word and other office program.
  • Current certification as required by Federal state or local governing agents pertaining to trade requirements.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in Engineering or related fields. Or a 2- year college degree and 3 or more years of related experience.
  • Valid California driver’s license with less than 2 points.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
